The fifth graders at EVCS recently took on a very large responsibility - to write and post the "bios" of our school's faculty and staff on this very website. The students took on the project from beginning to end. They brainstormed tons of possible interview questions and then decided together which questions would make it onto the interview questionnaire. Then, after picking a staff member's name out of a hat, the fifth graders personally interviewed each staff member. From there, they compiled the answers and wrote rough drafts of the bio in their writing notebooks. After peer conferencing with a classmate to check for meaning, clarity, and sense, they revised their bios and then were ready to type! Once typed, they presented the bio to the staff member it was about to make any changes or edits. Finally the students edited their work and ended up with polished, well-crafted mini-biographies that could be published on the website.

Please keep in mind that this is a "work in progress." The bios are being posted on the website as they are finished. Check out the completed bios by clicking the "Faculty and Staff" link on the sidebar of this screen!
